How Mobace handles your data
This page explains what personal information Mobace collects when you browse or shop at mobace.in, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Mobace ("Mobace," "we," "us," or "our") operates mobace.in, an online store selling smartphones, keypad mobiles, and mobile accessories such as cases, screen protectors, chargers, cables, power banks, and headphones, shipped within India.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information you provide when you visit mobace.in, create an account, place an order, track a shipment, or subscribe to our newsletter. By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in line with this policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what's generated when you place an order, and what's collected automatically as you browse.
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email address, phone number, and password when you register on My Account.
- Order & shipping details — billing and shipping address, phone number, and product selections when you check out.
- Communications — anything you send us via the contact form, email, or phone, including order or warranty queries.
- Newsletter sign-up — your email address, if you subscribe.
- Wishlist — products you save, tied to your account or browser.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps.
- Cookies — small files used to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and understand site usage (see Section 4).
Information we do not store
We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials. These are entered directly into our payment gateway partner's secure, PCI-DSS-compliant checkout — see Section 6.
3. How we use your information
- Process, pack, and ship your orders, and keep you updated on their status.
- Create and maintain your account, order history, and wishlist.
- Respond to customer support, warranty, and return/exchange requests.
- Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and other transactional emails or SMS.
- Send newsletters or promotional offers, only if you've subscribed — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized transactions.
- Understand how visitors use mobace.in so we can improve site performance and product listings.
- Meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations under Indian law, including GST record-keeping.
4. Cookies & tracking
Mobace uses cookies and similar technologies for:
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Essential | Keep you logged in, remember your cart and checkout session. |
| Preference | Remember settings like currency or recently viewed products. |
| Analytics | Understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns to improve the store. |
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout and account features from working correctly.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to run the store:
- Payment gateways — to process your payment securely (see Section 6).
- Courier & logistics partners — your name, address, and phone number, to deliver your order and enable order tracking.
- IT & hosting providers — who host mobace.in and store data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal & regulatory authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if Mobace is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
6. Payments
All payments on mobace.in are processed by our third-party payment gateway partner(s), which are independently PCI-DSS compliant. Your card, UPI, or net-banking details are entered directly on the gateway's secure page and are not visible to or stored by Mobace. We only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, along with a transaction reference for your order.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls, and secure hosting — to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — including order history for warranty support, and transaction records to meet GST and other statutory record-keeping requirements under Indian law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
9. Your rights & choices
Subject to applicable law — including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules — you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information in My Account or by contacting us.
- Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we're legally required to keep.
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time, via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
- Raise a grievance about how your data has been handled (see Section 13).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@mobace.in. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Children's privacy
Mobace.in is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites (for example, social media pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies separately.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Effective date" at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of mobace.in after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Note: This page is a general-purpose template based on common Indian e-commerce practice (IT Act 2000/SPDI Rules, DPDP Act 2023, and Consumer Protection E-Commerce Rules 2020). It is not legal advice.
